After imaging 40 old Thin Client machines, the old 40 accounts are still Issued and locked in RD Licensing Manager, rendering the thin clients useless. /pulling-hair

Can I remove the currently installed Windows Server 2012 RDS Per Device CAL license, reinstall it and everything should be able to connect quickly? Is there a quicker way of flushing out these assigned connection?

My knowledge on the topic is limited, and I'm sure that is a reason why I can't find a solution online. Everything I've read said to wait 50+ days. They would draw and quarter me if I told them to wait that long. Here's a screenshot so you know exactly what I'm talking about.

While it may not be the smoothest option it does work. I had to do this before for some reason. Can you not right click them and press Revoke? (Seem to remember doing that before)

If i remember correctly you can revoke licences by calling the Microsoft Clearinghouse or some other silky named department. The phone number comes up when you go to the relevant option.

The other option is to remove and reinstall the role and re-add the licences.

Either way is a PITA.
