Heard on Eve Radio - next release (Vanguard), festival launchers no longer require a launcher hardpoint.

Got a free high slot left on your ship that you can't fill, fit a festival launcher.

Fire ze fireworks :)

Be good for the lols

I might have put two of those in the corp hangar, FYI ;)

Looking up Hellsvanguard on a few spy sites that let you see more about them (the corp we're at war with). It turns out in 6 months, they've onyl had 1 new member, no recent kills or history at all. A whole bunch of wars on sub 10 player corps...

Either they're a group of elite griefers, OR they're really bad and just wardec to try and get small corps to panic.

Either way, I don't know who they are, I don't know what they want, but I will find them, and kill them.

We gathered that much with the in-game info they have :p I still don't get what they stand to gain from this. We've not received any kind of blackmail or threat (Probably worth checking on Jeremy? He might have received some mail?) and AFAIK we've had zero interaction with them at all. The guys we blap'd on Friday weren't these guys. Could be alts, but I find that to be unlikely. Just seems random.

Not that it matters. We have more guys, more guns, and most likely more cash. They're wasting 50mil per week.

Well, my Corp scanner is saying that these guys are "Probably Inactive" and the most recent that any of their "Main" pilots have done is losing a Skiff in 2012...

Other than that, some of them are sub 10m SP... Many have not EVER died... I'm honestly thinking it's just some carebear mining corp. We should be able to flatten them unless they either bring big ass ships, or have more expenditure than us (which I doubt since I have a small fortune)

Yeah, I did a quick search of them on evewho.com and zkillboard, I'd be surprised if they are even active much. I guess we'll see what happens when we log in and see them online, I've got a variety of locator agents available to me within a short range of hek and home so I can find whoever is online within about 20 min if they aren't in hek or nearby.

Well something went down in Hek, Apr 04, 2012, and since Hek is their corp home station, it looks like that might be where they'll find them.

They seem to like hanging around in mining barges in 0.5sec. Perhaps they've taken exception to our presence in Emolgranlan? But I don't recognise any names and haven't seen them around.

For what it's worth, they're all agents with negative standing in the corp now, so you can add them to your own lists and watchlists easier.

We need not panic. Best case scenario they expect us to be hiding.... when infact we'll be ganking their mining operations.

Since we don't take standing hits for fighting because of the Wardec - we can really overship and make sure we drop whatever they're choosing to shoot spacerocks with. No mining vessel shall live. I may stick tristram in a cloaked ship off the undock and act as a perma-recon when I'm off work.

Aye, no panic here :D Just trying to make sense of why exactly they've done it. It just seems completely random, but I can't see why any corp would pick an 'enemy' out of a hat and wardec them for no reason*? O.o Waste of 50mil if you ask me.

Still. They've made their beds. Time to make them lay in them.

Tarquin can easily be used for more recon if need be. Cloaking isn't exactly a long train.

* Small corp, anyway. That's exactly something I can see GSF doing.

Maybe to try and do the whole "We're asserting dominance over you" as either a recruitment method (the cowards join the winning team) OR to try and expand towards us with their mining operations and as a way of securing a way to low sec with relatively low traffic (since we're in the pipe one jump from low and they're miners so that's where the money is)

Either way, they'll regret it. They have ONE outstanding pilot though. midnightduck... 98.7% ISK eff, but most of his action was seen at least 3 years ago.

I've seen some corps try to war dec others in the hopes they'll try to surrender and make more isk back than the war cost, no idea if it works out or not but I guess that depends on how much you've researched your target and decided if they are likely to fight back or not.

Personally I've war dec'd people as a "one man and his alts" corp purely to kill their high sec POS (it was in a good system and I could kill it solo by AFK'ing in a laser BS). As I recall they just asked if they could take down the POS and let me have the space, I agreed and everyone was happy.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they were snooping around high sec (local) corp zkillboards.. saw how shocking ours is and thought "Let's do it".

Yeah, zkillboard doesn't appear to have our kills on it (or didn't when I looked yesterday). I guess one of us will have to add an API key for that to pick up corp kills, I'll probably look at that later if we really care about it.

Do you have to pay to surrender..? I know either side can surrender, but I haven't read anything about the financial implications of doing so?

To be fair, ours is pretty bad at the moment lol. Last friday's wasn't as abysmal as the one before, though.. And I did manage to save my Thrasher (by logging off and coming back the next day right before server maintenance lol)

I haven't looked in a while but I believe it's basically a case of one side saying "I'll pay x amount if you accept my surrender" and the other side either accepting or declining, all through the war interface I think.

So realistically a well-established corp could just reject any surrender forever and ever and ever and keep pummelling a newbie corp into dust until it disbanded?

Seems kind of unfair to have your enemy reject your surrender.. But then again, that would also open up the door to war trolling. "We pay 50mil ISK to declare war on you." "Lol we surrender."

Yeah, the war is still active for a few days I think but there are lots of ways it can be abused to mess with high sec corps. Which is pretty good to have, since otherwise high sec is pretty safe other than a bit of suicide ganking that only really hits haulers/miners (and the odd super shiny incursion ships).

Personally I'm still disappointed with the changes to suspect timers and such that made ninja looting (and ninja ganking) not viable anymore (without everyone in system being able to kill you). It was a pretty interesting community that came out of it and led to some really expensive kills in high sec missions.

Why is talk of surrender even happening? We will fight them in the streets, we will fight them in the skies, we will fight them at the moons, we will fight them in the galaxies. We, my friends, nae brothers, are the League of Fabulous Gentlemen.
