cheredenine Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Hello! I've got a Ruckus ZoneDirector that until today worked flawlessly with our 2012 R2 NPS server doing radius authentication. Currently I have wireless clients trying to connect and the Windows server reports access is granted, but the Ruckus server claims login failed due to no permission or incorrect credentials... Any thoughts?
Roger Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 We had a similar issue recently, this fixed it. Open up NPS Open your Radius Policies Go to Settings Tab Go to Standard Radius Attributes Click Add Select Framed-MTU from the list Click Add Enter the Attribute value of 1344 Click OK Click Close Click OK Test to see if it resolved your issue.
truebluesteve Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Have you got logging turned on for the NPS? If not its worth doing so to see if anything obvious appears in it
danelliott87 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 We had a similar thing where the certificate had expired.
cheredenine Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 All sorted - it seems there was an issue with the roles function on the ZoneDirector. The default role had been disassociated from all the configured WLANS, so even though the Radius server was authenticating, the ZD was denying access... Tick the box again and it starts to behave. Thanks for the support anyway, chaps!
