Darksoth Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I'm sure you guys have seen this already but just in case: Are you as excited for this as I am? I'm a huge fan of the previous 2 Arkham titles so I really hope this is a fitting end to the trilogy!
ICTDirect_Dave Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Oh but this does look pretty. I'm rather excited. It'll be the first game to really push my new PC
jaminben Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Yes, also looking forward to it... it's a little way off yet tho
Darksoth Posted February 27, 2015 Author Posted February 27, 2015 Yeah it should be awesome, although I'll be playing it on my Xbox One! Still a ways off yet but considering it was supposed to be a launch title for the One (IIRC) not too much longer to wait!
X-13 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I'm a huge fan of the previous 2 Arkham titles so I really hope this is a fitting end to the trilogy! ...There's 3 Arkham games so far. Asylum, City and Origins. I'm holding off on buying it to grab the inevitable complete version.
Darksoth Posted February 27, 2015 Author Posted February 27, 2015 Ah I never played Origins. Didn't hear many positive things about it. The 2 from Rocksteady are awesome though. The best super-hero game in years I think...
tmcd35 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Yeah, Orgins was OK, definately the weakest of them. But even Origins is leaps ahead of a lot of games. Bad for this series is exceptional in just about any other franchise. Personally I think they made a mistake moving away from the liner story of Asylum. Arkham City, despite being open world, seemed rushed because the narrative would constantly remind you of a time limit to complete the story or Gotham was doomed. I was too scared to do the open world side stuff in case I took too much time. Of course I realise now I could have ignore the story as much I a liked and it would have just waited for me to continue...
X-13 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 the narrative would constantly remind you of a time limit to complete the story or Gotham was doomed. Segregation of gameplay and story is awesome. Story: Everythings going to get destroyed soon! Gameplay: ...but I'm going to spend the next 6 hours doing sick flips off of buildings.
