Name, age, hometown and photo splattered over the media front pages. Enough for IS info bods to start tracking down his friends and family and posing a threat to them and members of the public. Well done BBC, there is a reason government employees deployed in the middle east are told not to make a song and dance of it. :/

Been seeing this a lot from the BBC as of late. They've posted detailed information about military operations that haven't happened yet before! The quality of their news seems to have sadly gone down rapidly recently.

A reverse image search of the "IT Worker" brings up articles about a completely different person - did they just use a random image of a soldier who went to Syria or is the story fake?

Been seeing this a lot from the BBC as of late. They've posted detailed information about military operations that haven't happened yet before! The quality of their news seems to have sadly gone down rapidly recently.

Unfortunately I have to agree A lot of fluff pieces rather than actual news.. And as @CAM mentioned, all that info could easily be used to find relatives or people he cared for.

Still, it's a nice break from "Children are being radicalised to travel overseas and fight for ISIS"..

Maybe they don't know.. Maybe the guy from the video feed whose picture they've put up ain't actually the guy they're talking about, but said he was at the time?

Military obstacle courses.. Useful for that moment where you have to bound over 2 chairs, a desk and another member of staff, in order to get the last piece of cake.
