rehanahmeds Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 has anybody installed itunes on a network?? how did u do it and any problems with that??
Psymon Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Windows media player does a fine job, but id contact apple and ask for an MSI you could deploy via Group Policy, at current its a 70mb iTunes / Quicktime bundle that wont install seperately. IF its a select few people, RDP to there computers and install it as admin from a network share.
rehanahmeds Posted December 7, 2007 Author Posted December 7, 2007 thanks for the reply... i was just asking abt the feedback if someone has installed it.... i got the msi file.... thanks
boomam Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Open the normal iTunes installer with WinRAR, and the MSI files are there, and work with deployments fine. .
saihaynes Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 What version of itunes are you looking at deploying?
elsiegee40 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 While I can see its uses for pod-casts; the copyright implications of having it available across the network would make me want to run away!
