Nobody can log into eportal and do the registers. Wheres the best place to start? I doubt every staff member has forgotten their passwords over the holidays lol

Achandler Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 On a sidenote restart it twice usually as it doesn't always re-do the link otherwise. We have a schedules task to restart ours nightly!

A restart of the services can resolve some ePortal issues though I recommend contacting us, PM me for details. These sorts of issues are critical to the running of your school so a quick call might help. @Achandler - If you're having to restart the services twice it is possibly because the ports being used have not closed before the services start back up; windows puts them into TIME_WAIT. We recommend stopping the services then leaving it 10/20- seconds before starting them back up. Restarting the services nightly, around 4:30am, helps prevent problems with the TomCat service, so implementing a scheduled task is recommend. A couple of batch file with a NET STOP and NET START command will do the trick. Ensure you leave a minutes gap between stopping and starting. Scott Edited February 23, 2015 by Scott_L 1
