Gilly2003 Posted February 25, 2015 Author Posted February 25, 2015 I dont understand because I can log on remotely and run the script fine. Just descovered this from one of the PC's: User Policy update has completed successfully. Computer policy could not be updated successfully. The following errors were enc ountered: The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to read the file \\************** \SysVol\*******************l\Policies\{5127921F-47F1-4FFA-866F-CD6EF 4B88880}\gpt.ini from a domain controller and was not successful. Group Policy s ettings may not be applied until this event is resolved. This issue may be trans ient and could be caused by one or more of the following: a) Name Resolution/Network Connectivity to the current domain controller. b) File Replication Service Latency (a file created on another domain controller has not replicated to the current domain controller). c) The Distributed File System (DFS) client has been disabled. To diagnose the failure, review the event log or run GPRESULT /H GPReport.html f rom the command line to access information about Group Policy results.
sted Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 sounds like the pcs boot get bored of waiting for the network and don't apply pc policies then. There is a gpo always wait for network at startup that can help theres also a reg key where you can set a time before giving up but I cant remember what it is
