Classroombookings? Short answer is 'no' for the current (1.0) version; but that will be included in the new version. 1

timbo343 Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 @Webman Just out of interest, will V2 tie into AD? We are looking at starting to movw to 2008 R1 & R2 over the summer, but our current bookng system Devizes which works really well on our 2003 servers will not work on the Server 2008 R1 or R2 x64 at all. Thanks Tim

Thanks Tim It will authenticate via AD/LDAP by looking up the supplied username & password. If that's your definition of "tie", then yes. But it doesn't automatically pull in the user via the "integrated windows authentication" feature of IIS.

webman Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Thanks. Have you got a rough time on when v2 will be out? and will it work on 2008 r2? Hopefully within the next 6 months. I've not tested it with Server 2008 yet but it's on the cards.
pottski Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Webman, i have had to reinstall due to a server move, now when i try to see the bookings area it says: 'no week configured please contact your administrator' yet all my weeks are set up. please help!
webman Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 @pottski: Even when you select a date from the calendar you know a week is configured with? Is the server date & time correct? Is it set up to connect to the right database? Is all data in the new DB since the move?
pottski Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 @webman: yes to all the above however i have noticed the week start dates are not the monday of a week ( as the description says) but a sunday is this an issue?
webman Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Which week start dates - in the pop-up calendar on the bookings page? That's always got Sunday as the start of the week. If you go to Week Cycle > [edit a week], do those dates correspond with mondays or sundays?
pottski Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 @webman thanks for the help, there was an issue with the sql databases time and date which was causing an issue with other databases as well.
Ben-BSH Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Does anyone have any current way to import a sims export into MRBS? or a free room booking system that could? Basically, trying to remove the manual entry part of room bookings at the start of each term, and would love a way to take a SIMS export and whack it into the MRBS system we have, but no current way is known. Thanks in advance
sudathkg Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 hi, webman what is the admin username and password for CRBS. thanks.
timbo343 Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 @webman: Can i just say that after having the wrong version of PHP installed, your booking seems really simple to use and i am looking forward to seeing version 2 when it is released. Just out of interest, what are we expecting to see in version 2 and do you know when it will be out? I know that you are planning on tieing the user accounts to AD which will be a real plus for us. I shall be getting rid of the Devizes booking system as it just doesnt seem to want to work on 2008. Just a quick question, when importing users into CRBS, what fields do i need in the csv to import correctly? I did notice while using the CRBS, that some of the images dont display correctly. I have found that i need to create a .png of the .gif which is located in the UI area of the files. Since i only got to play about with it for 20 mins, i shall be testing it further tomorrow. Thanks Tim 1
chrisjako Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 how do i show the calendar without having to login?
webman Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 @timbo343: Sorry for not replying sooner, I hadn't noticed an update to this thread. Re: v2. AD/LDAP integration for definite. Other things such as reports, quota features are also planned. The main drive has been to work on the permissions part to allow further control of groups/departments for the booking of rooms. Bigger list of stuff here. Due: some time this year On that note, if anyone can invent a device which allows me to pause time, I'd be very grateful. @Gibbo: Thanks for filling in for that @chrisjako: Simple answer: you can't. Long answer: You should be able to do this in v2. @sudathkg: What ever you set them as during the installation.
chrisjako Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 404 Page Not Found The page you requested was not found. when i click on week dates in control panel i get the above message, any ideas?
webman Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Yes - that link shouldn't be there. You set the dates when you add/edit a week. 1

timbo343 Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 @Webman I have just checked out your CRBS Version2, and it is very different to version1 not in a bad way but in a good way. Obviously it isnt finished yet but looking good.
Aaron Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Hi everyone I have been asked to give some reasons/benefits for us moving forward to an online booking system and was wondering if people could give me some views. I know the usual ones more that booking is accessible from anywhere that has an internet connection, saves on paper, Faster to find information on rooms stops double bookings? Just wondering if there are many other reasons so that could put forward for using an online system.

Just wondering if there are many other reasons so that could put forward for using an online system. Because it is just much better. People can access the bookings from their desks (providing they have machines in their rooms) and you have basically covered all the points. They will love it so much that if you mention a paper booking system, they will moan. 1
Aaron Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Thank you just trying to get as many points for this as possible so that i can be given the go ahead
