I am really not sure where to post this one, but I am looking for information on the best way to use Google Apps for Education between different platforms on Shared devices (iPads, Android Devices and PCs)

The videos I have seen so far relate to each user having their own device or a device only supporting up to five users.

Please can someone tell me if there is there a way to easily set up shared devices to use with Google Apps for Education on devices which will be shared by students at the whole school?

I'm not sure what it is you're asking. We use Google Apps for Education and each user has their own login which gives them email, Google Docs, Google Drive, etc. As the login is unique it shouldn't matter on shared devices (assuming the previous user logged out correctly of course!)

Looking here: https://www.google.com/edu/training/get-trained/tablets/introduction.html

"Support for multiple accounts—up to five students can use a single tablet, each with a secure user profile"

Perhaps I am looking in the wrong place?

The situation is I have shared laptops, shared Android Tablets (not Google Play for Education certified) and Shared iPads and I want an easy way for the students (primary age) and staff to be able to use Google Apps for Education - an easy way for them to log in and log out and use all Google Apps for Education features.

I am also looking for somewhere to tell me what apps\software would need to be installed on the devices, and perhaps if there is an autologout option as people will forget to log out.

I have a google apps for education account and all students imported, but from what to do next it seems unclear.

Your link appears to be specific to Google Play for Education rather than Google Apps so perhaps that is where the confusion lies. We don't use Play so I can't help there, sorry.

As far as Google Apps is concerned it should be easy enough for staff. They log in the same way you do, straight from gmail.com although they need to remember their full email address. One way around this is to provide them with a modified link so that it tells them what the email suffix is if they don't enter it e.g. https://mail.google.com/a/youremailsuffix

I don't know how this would work for the pupils though as I have no experience of Primary age users.

Thank you for the reply.

Although I have entered the E-Mail addresses I have not linked them to work through GMail, so am guessing they act like two separate E-Mail addresses (E.g. though DB Primary or Office 365 and GMail), but to be honest I am not really sure how that works either and can't see it explained anywhere.

Does anyone know what Apps I would need to install on the iPads and Android devices for Google Apps for Education?

I am also struggling to find out how shared devices work for management inside google apps for education. I found an official video from google on youtube but again it explains users own BYOD devices and does not mention shared devices.

I have filled out the form for google to contact me, but this is the second time I have filled it out, as the first time they never contacted me, so I am not holding my hopes up they will contact me this time.
