sonofsanta Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Our printer contract is up at the end of the year, so I'm just looking at various options for a new contract (including our current supplier, but it's worth shopping around). We have/want around 40 devices, all desktop printers (no follow-me-printing), mostly A4 mono but with various colour/MFP and a single A3 device mixed in. I want toners to be automatically monitored and ordered, because that shouldn't be difficult, but I'm not overly fussed about getting Papercut or anything. We have Pcounter, it does what we need it to, our print costs are not so out of control that we need the level of reporting offered by Papercut (though it does look nice...). I want all toner & service included, so I'm only paying a cost per page on top of a lease. All pretty standard stuff. Looking at the CCS Contract, RM1599, Lot 2 looks to be the right level for us and Lot 3 to be overkill - we don't need 24/7 support, integration with different OSes, bespoke software solutions... Am I reading that right? Is Lot 2 what I should be looking at and Lot 3 aimed more at hospitals and the like?
Sylv3r Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I am going through exactly the same thing at the moment and in the process of drawing up tender documentation. I agree with you - Option 2 is what your after.
Wellington Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Selecting Lot 3 of RM1599 includes the latest HP equipment with their wide array inkjet and officejet printers and does not exclude the contents of Lot 2. http://www.neupc.ac.uk/agreements/item/rm1599-multifunctional-devices-and-services-managed-print-service-and-print-audit-services I hope this helps
