BlueSkies Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Hello, I have just seen some promo literature for the Epson EcoTank printers which ship with 2 years' worth of ink in them. Is anyone here using these - are they as good as they would have you believe? Thanks!
Ian_Cooper_Printware Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 It's very early doors on these, but the Epson RIPS (Replaceable Ink Pack System) printers seem to be pretty good. I wouldn't see it as a replacement to a heavily used workgroup copier, but in the right environment they are very sensible. We have one of the A3 8590 devices in house (not the RIPS version, but in all other respects it's the same) and it seems very decent so far. I print about as much to it as I do a Samsung CLX-9251 and our HP M4540 and all seem as easy to use and have similar up time. Having the device ship with 70,000 pages of ink can only seem a good thing to me.
