MkII Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 A system policy is breaking IE site wide. A local reset of IE(11) fixes it but it returns after logout. The URL in the address bar doesn't change, and IE gives up trying to connect to a website pretty quickly. Chrome is working fine. It's not the proxy. Can anyone suggest any ways to troubleshoot the issue please? Thanks.
MkII Posted January 30, 2015 Author Posted January 30, 2015 It's happenning to lots of users Michael. I'd love to know what the reset tool is doing to make it work
MkII Posted January 30, 2015 Author Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) No. You got me thinking though. Deleting the local profile and rebooting... hmm same Office365 gives me a blank page, like the smoothwall issue. But why would that go away with a reset? Edited January 30, 2015 by MkII
Michael Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 I think you need to look at the advanced settings of IE and compare to a working workstation. Have you set/deployed an GPP's seeing as you're using IE11?
MkII Posted January 30, 2015 Author Posted January 30, 2015 I bit the bullet and recreated those gpp's and we're back up and running. Thanks for your help Michael
Michael Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 No worries - GPP is a funny tool, it either works or it doesn't!
