Hi

I've got the following queries for students, but the information appears to be correct.

The funny thing is they're all leavers, so can anyone make any suggestions? The codes are:

2020Q - Please check: Pupil year groupand age inconsistent.

2502Q - Zero attendance sessionspossible recorded for Pupil onRoll. Pupil should be recordedwith zero sessions possible ifdually registered and spent all ofthe previous term for whichattendance data is being collectedat other registration. This querywill be accepted by DfE oncondition that a suitableexplanatory notepad entry isprovided in COLLECT.

Thanks

Thanks for your help, the 2nd query has been dealt with.

With regards to 2020Q, the year taught in and year group is blank and greyed out (as they're leavers). If I readmit them, add the year group and year taught in and then mark them as left again, SIMS would clear the fields again.

Perhaps it's a bug?

Their historical information will remain, click the History button near their reg details and it will show you the full year group history for them.

Hi,

I don't know SIMS, but 2020Q relates to the student's National Curriculum year not being what is expected based on their age. Here's the DfE specifcation of the query:

(100068) should be :

(a) if age is between 6 and 15 (inclusive) then (100068) should be between age in years minus 3 and age in years minus 5 and NOT N1, N2 or R

(b) if age = 5 then (100068) should be R or 1

© If age is 2, 3 or 4 then (100068) should be N1, N2 or R

Most importantly, what version of SIMS are you on? and have you installed the latest fileset?

2020Q kept appearing for all our schools even though all their data looked fine. Turns out it was an error. Importing the latest fileset sorted them all out.

[h=2]Fileset 187[/h]Query 2020Q: Please check: pupil year group and age inconsistentThis used to trigger for leavers in certain situation which was incorrect as year group (YTI) is not included in the Census for leavers. This should now correctly exclude leavers.

In regards to 2502Q, this is generally fine providing you justify it (add a note on COLLECT where required). If it's actually correct i.e. you did have a Main Registered Pupil on roll at your school who spent 100% of his time at his Dual Reg school (zero sessions at your school), then that's fine.

Hope that helps.
