Default Gateway & Subnet Mask Changes - What to look for

We are changing our default gateway & subnet mask in order for us to get more IP addresses.

 

What are the problems we should look for ? All static IP address will have to change default gateway and subnet mask ?

 

Any problem to look for? or it is all easy ?

Its pretty straightforward. Just make sure the last thing you do is change your DHCP scopes. Also, holiday job, for sure!

And remember to change the network config in hardware with static IPs e.g. some photocopiers, printers etc..

Printers should be ok. Yes, photocopier needs change of their default gateway and subnet mask.
