We are seeking to appoint an IT Technician with vision and energy to join our newly structured team at Leeds East Academy The Leeds East Academy - Vacancies

The postholder will work as part of a supportive and friendly team to deliver first and second line support to staff and students in our academy. Day to day duties will include troubleshooting and resolving issues for desktops, laptops, servers, tablets, projectors, Smartboards and telecoms. You will ensure that an excellent standard of customer service is delivered at all times throughout the life cycle of all IT service requests as well as documenting steps taken to resolve issues. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well on your own or in a team. The post holder will have daily contact with students and staff and therefore must have the ability to relate effectively to all adults and young people.

If you have a range of desktop, server hardware and software support skills, you could be just the person we are looking for.

For this role you need previous experience in the following areas:

 

Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2008/r2 with Active Directory & Group Policy

Knowledge of Virtualisation / VMware & Citrix

Knowledge of Networking including TCP / IP, DNS & Wireless

Knowledge of managed switches and routing

Knowledge of backups and restoration

Create and deploy remote packages and computer images

Antivirus management and rollout

Windows 7 support & a good knowledge of desktop trouble shooting

MS Office skills
