The Academy is seeking to appoint staff with personal qualities and skills of the highest order, to help ensure that it continues to be truly outstanding. The IT Technician will provide technical support for the IT network in order to ensure an excellent learning resource for students and an effective information system across the Academy.

 

In particular, candidates should have:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Microsoft Windows 7/Mac OSX

• Audio/Video/Theatre sound and lighting experience

• Outstanding customer care skills

• Excellent telephone manner

• Good written and oral communication skills

• The ability to empathise with pupils, staff and the management team

• Able to work both individually and as part of a team

• A logical approach to problem solving

• Able to keep up to date with the latest technological advances

• Any A Level or equivalent IT certification highly desirable (A+, N+, MCP, CCNA etc)

• Basic Knowledge of Networking

• Previous first line support, service desk or call centre experience.
