Ha ha ha, like that would work in a school. I can see it

SCENE: A hard working IT Tech plowing through important documentation for a imminent rollout

IT: I know, I shall mark my Luxfor as busy so all staff shall know I am temporarily busy

ENTER STRESSED TEACHER

ST: Ohhh nice pretty light, I need this insignificant job I knew about 3 weeks ago but ignored now. If you don't I shall stamp my feet and tell everyone how you prevented me from working.

END SCENE

Got my hopes up slightly then... I'm looking for something similar to this that I can put in the window in my door to let people know to come in, as they don't always hear when I bellow lol...

Old PC with a CD tray. Put note on bottom of tray. Fire VB script when you want to invite people in! :)

Presumably for people that don't have a face that speaks.

or use extension leads and put it on the office door so people can see before they knock/just enter

Our IT techs used to have a little 16x2 LCD screen hooked up to an Arduino that displayed messages; they had an app on their PCs which sent the appropriate message to display via Bluetooth.

Always thought it was a great way of getting kids interested as well as being functional :)
