Stopping USB ports from sleeping

How can we stop the USB ports from sleeping across the network.

 

The reason we are doing this is because the promethean board is connected via a USB and when these goes to sleep the board stops works. We have to restart the whole machine to resolve the issue.

Hi KDMann,

The setting you are referring to would be the Selective suspect setting.

As far as I know I don't know of any easy way to change this setting across a network, though there may be some group policy setting somewhere that could achieve this.

 

Failing that you may need to do this manually on all machines and users....which would be a pain.
