Asomodai Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Is it possible? We use bog standard SIMS, no real remote access from home. Does it require to be on the domain? I really have little knowledge of it. Currently getting a group policy error everytime it is opened up at home, but cant work out which policy is preventing it! Cheers.
synaesthesia Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Yes it's possible as the user can import and export timetables from it. You'd just run that alone, and not via SIMS which I imagine is probably where you're falling over, just run the .exe for novat6 directly.
BKGarry Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 There is a Nova Satellite Setup in the Setups directory. I use it all the time and just copy my files by either USB or the OneDrive for Business to it. Works fine for me, there is a Capita guide available on SupportNet about the Nova Satellite Setups but you will have to remember to manually update this satellite version of Nova each time you update SIMS. :-) 1
thorpen Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I use the NovaSatelliteSetup too. Remember to ask Tech Support at school or the LA for the MLICENSE.dat and TLICENSE.dat files and put these in the folder that you install to. 1
