azc Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I'm in need of a replacement 20" non-touch matte LED panel for a Lenovo M92z AIO computer. The FRU on the original panel is 03T6478. The IBM parts site says to call for a price, which I do, to be told the part has been replaced with FRU 03T6489. They want £240.16 for a new one. This seems rather expensive to me. I've been unable to find one anywhere less extortionate. Anyone have any leads or ideas? Thanks.

The cheapest i can find is about £100 from China, they all seem about about the price you were quoted in the UK, that is if they have stock. crc-ict Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I've been there with the earlier generation of ThinkCentre AIOs They are expensive, and we never did find an alternative supplier. Getting the parts from IBM took an age as well - they gave the finance team grief about setting up the account which wasted a lot of time, and then delivery was long winded as well. I highly doubt the monitor panel would fit - LCDs like that are very fit-specific. The thinkcentre LCDs are very thick compared to most panels and you would have to be lucky for the mounting locations and connections to be correct for a different application.

Looks like getting direct from IBM is our only real option for a guaranteed compatible part.

My big ticket items luckily have shipped from the UK each time, I've only had to pay once and that was a heavy BGA stencil set. I can't remember exactly but was between £10 and £20 on a £90 purchase.
