Hi,

I have setup rds on my server.

From the internet you can go to http://remote.domainname.org/rdweb and can log in successfully and see the remote apps.

If clients are connected via directaccess the remote apps work fine.

If they are just connected to a wifi none of the apps work - i only need a shortcut to shared folders really.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Port 3389 also needs to be open and forwarded to the RDS server, not the most secure method in the world but then I have seen worse!

No but it does need to be opened to use the remote desktop/apps part (as the apps launch a slient session) - I've used it with 2008 R2 before and you had to open both ports in order for it to work externally properly... unless it has change with 2012? :)

You don't need 3389 open on 2008 R2 either.

We have a public facing box which has RD Gateway and RD Web Access installed on it. Between them, they relay all messages over port 443 from the outside world to whatever RDS server internally the user is permitted to access.

Running 2012 here, never needed 3389 opened for the apps to run.
