'Fake' Command Prompt

Hi There,

 

This is going to be abit of a strange question.

 

One of the teachers wants students to access the command prompt to test out some batch command. Needless to say i am against this - but he is fairly insistent.

 

 

So, does anyone know of a "fake" Command Prompt (Maybe a flash game or something) that will act like a command prompt so they can test syntax and commands etc... without actually changing anything?

We used to use virtual machines with no save access for students to play around with settings/command line's for class.

 

they could mess them up as much as they liked and rebooting the virtual machine would take it back to how it was.
