Hi

Came back after a lovely 2 week break over Christmas to find the aircon in the server room had packed in and nothing was working. Then ensued a manic search for fans and keys to open the windows!

I want to get some sort of temperature monitor in their to try prevent issues like this but have next to nothing for a budget.

I have seen the ubiquiti mFi solution that looks like it might do the job. Has anyone used it? Or recommend a similar solution for under £100

Cheers

To be honest this is the perfect example of why you shouldn't scrimp on things this should be the perfect opportunity to point the powers that be that you need to spend money on a solution so don't limit yourself to "doing in on the cheap"

I have a draytek router that takes a USB temperature sensor (about £35) that emails me when the temperature is too high or low. Works beautifully and has saved me from cooking my servers once before after some workmen threw the ac breaker. Lovely.
