The day, and so far, not the product although it seems that last night they are pushing for a lunchtime release: Get ready Commanders - we are working towards releasing Elite: Dangerous 1.0 at midday GMT tomorrow, 16.12.14 #EliteDangerousLaunch Now, I don't know whether this is because they are after the maximum publicity for it's release or that the final launch build won't be ready for then but I do know one thing. It's getting rather tense in here.

Dos_Box Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 I have this bought and will be installing tonight. I was there in 84 and loved the wireframe escape to the stars. Today the game looks glorious !! I have acquired a really food flight stick and controls and have never been so excited about a game release. I have my own TS server and me and the guys will be running around the galaxy figuring out how best to enjoy the game. I think im going to try some bounty hunting and simple missions to tide me over for a few weeks to see if that floats my boat, but I expect to dabbling in a few goods when I learn the trade routes. DOH), but...... I think it'll be manic at the start. I can imagine people sitting in freagles or vipers with G.Multicannons just waiting to interdict Haulers and what not.... (whistles away while he preps his plans to do just that)...... See what happens.....

StevieM Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I realised last night that I'd never got around to playing the gamma version at all so I thought I'd fire it up... only it spent the next hour syncing files, usually at <0.5Mbps, and it was still only half-way through. I gave up and went to bed in the end. It's the school play tonight, so I'll start downloading it before I come back to school and it may just about be ready when I get home again. I'll give it a good go over Christmas and hopefully I'll start to get a bit better at it.

You are not alone. I took out a pirate on my all to brief outing this afternoon and when I docked...nothing. I thought I was doing something wrong. Can anyone else verify this for us?

Trying to do the training missions but they're taking forever because even if I pull all the way back on the stick, it'll take a good 30 seconds to do one vertical rotation. By that point, the ship I'm chasing has looped round and gone the other side of me! Really frustrating.

Gonna mine from now on as im piddled off with failed bounties.
