Intermittent Backup Issue

Hi all.

 

Weird issue, this has appeared on a few backups over the past month or so, and i can't seem to find any pattern towards it, has anyone else experienced this. (see image)

The D: is where all the users files are stored, and it doesn't take up a significant amount of space. (also weird due to the fact it doesn't *always* fail, again leading me to doubt it's a space/time issue)

 

Any pointers?

whats the hardware its on? VM ?

just on a server 2008 r2 server, no virtualisation in place.

i would download a benchmark / IO tester

The data might not be alot but I guess it depends how many snapshots it is storing...

 

try vssadmin list shadowstorage to get some more info... might be trying to backup and not having enough storage space
