Hi all

I had hoped to upgrade to the SIMS Autumn release this weekend and as normal attempted to update our self-hosted SLG site.

However, when running the SLG Web Tier application, it gets through the process then errors out.

CopyWSPFileScript Error

C:\users\admin~1\appdata\local\temp\slgwebpackage\slgwebpackage.wsp: file not found : Microsoft VBScript runtime error

It then proceeds to roll back to the previous version.

I found an article on the Supportnet site with a similar error that mentions ensuring that theres no windows updates to install and theres not and i've given the server a restart to make sure too.

I'll log this with CAPITA, but I just wondered on the off change if anybody else had come across this error before.

Thanks

Andrew

No, tend to never update Sims until the last absolute possible moment as problems occur.

There was an issue with .net 4.5.1 which wasn't supported for the Summer release, if this has been added this may be causing an issue, SQL SP2 for 2012 (just incase your using this) was also not supported until Autumn.

Good Afternoon,

I wondered if somebody could help me with a Fatal Error which is appearing on my computer?

The error is when I am defining the 'pastoral structure' for the first time, it is appearing with 'Fatal Database Error: Default Tier Not Defined' and not displaying anything. You can still press OK and use SIMS, it is not like it is crashing SIMS and forcing me to restart it (Not a SIMS Fault). Please see the image: http://i.imgur.com/J9aQ05w.png

I have completed the rest of the steps which are required when starting SIMS up for the first time, but the pastoral structure just will have none of it.

Please get in touch with your SIMS support for assistance. This thread is about a completely different issue.

Hi @windowsman,

Can you private message me some more information about your SIMS installation (environment, SIMS version, SQL version etc) as i might be able to help you with these error messages? I assume with you saying "starting SIMS up for the first time" this is a new installation of SIMS? What is the reason for needing a full new install?

Thanks

Just to let everyone know, we ran the installer from the root of C:\ rather than the desktop and it wen't through fine just incase that helps anybody out in the future.
