Tickets for concerts etc

OK I've been an office monkey this morning helping get through the millions of school concert ticket orders that the poor office staff are trying to sort out.

 

They use a simple sheet of paper with different colour pencils for different tickets etc. There has to be a better way?

 

I'm thinking spreadsheet but then it would need to be shared between 2 admin staff and always writable.

 

Anyone know of some software for ticket allocation and reservation ?

Thinking low tec here but if you use Google docs of Office 365 couldn't you just have a spreadsheet in there and use the collaborative features of either service?

Admin network has google docs and O365 filtered at the moment

No need to print tickets really, if you use eventbrite the buyers can print it themselves.

 

I don't think we've had paper tickets for a while for our concerts.

Looking at eventbrite. Our issue is we want to restrict each family to 3 tickets only initially. There is nothing stopping multiple accounts in eventbrite and people buying loads?

We just make it clear in a message to the parents. That seems to be enough to stop them doing it.

You must have nicer parents than ours. Ours tend to lie about losing tickets etc and try and get more and more and more ....
