Managing Samsung Tablets?

Good morning,

 

I have started helping a primary school who have purchased 16 Samsung tablets. They have purchased without considering what they want to use them for, or how to manage them.

 

I have helped them source a trolley to house the devices.

Does any one have suggestions on managing the tablets such that an administrator can easily deploy apps, update them etc?

 

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly received as always!

I had the exact same thing when the old Head of IT bought 3 Samsung Tab2's without any consideration on their management.

 

They are now given out as glorified video cameras as no solutions were ever found for managing them outside of using Meraki systems Manager.

Col, thanks for your post, could you drop me a PM with more details? @fairm010 thanks for your post, yes I agree, madness. Literally spending money for the sake of it! I guess these are the sorts of people who go to a car show room and buy any car just because it has 4 wheels!
