Anyone use the schools version of eJay ?

The problem i have is that when kids record their own wav's, eJay saves them to the local eJay directory in a folder called recsav.

Now i'm getting a stream of kids reporting their work is lost because they are logging onto a different PC in the music suite.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO REDIRECT THIS LOCATION?

I need to have these files saved into the kids network drive (z:)

Thanks

Obviously the permissions are set on the folder to allow them to wrote to it.

Assuming the above post is correct and theres no way to change this location by way of an ini file or the registry;

So all we need to do here is get the files out of the folder and onto the kids network share. This could be done manually with a shortcut in their folder or on the startmenu - then simply copy said files.

Or you could write a simple batch script to xcopy them over, verify them and then delete them. This could be run by the user or at logoff. I dont know how this would affect ejay though, as it may loose the links to the files.

I guess the best method would be for them to record the wav. THEN run the script, and THEN import them back into ejay. That way theres no chance their ejay song could loose an wavs

Sorry, don't have eJay to try this out on, but doesn't NTFS lets you mount remote file shares on (empty) directories in the same way as the Unix "mount" command now? Simply have a login script that runs "net use..." to mount the user's remote share to C:\Program Files\ejay\recsav.

I have Hiphop6 for Ejay to install now :(

I managed to get a no-cd thingy from gamecopyworld but there isn't one for hipyhop. Tried Daemon buts its a lovely securom protection on it. :(

Really really annoying piece of software.

Maybe my setup is different but our pupils click on save and then navigate to their network drive, they have to do this with most software, we very rarely get any saved in error elsewhere.
