edie209 Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 We moved from Exchange 2007 to Office 365 everything has gone really well and all my users are happily using 365, or so I thought. As student came to us with a problem she was having the "something has gone wrong" message. When I looked into it somehow she had been missed in the migration. So how do I migrate her I have searched but everything I find points back to the original staged migration method.
synaesthesia Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 May be worth revisiting it tomorrow bearing in mind o365 and the majority of MS Azure services were down at midnight last night and still slow for the majority of the EU.
snagrat Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 I had this before and Office 365 thought there was an on-premise mailbox when their wasn't. All I could do was to delete user on local domain, force sync so Office 365 user is deleted. Create new user with same details as before and resync. Basically creates a new SID so Office 365 sees it as a new user even though it's called the same.
shane-meh Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Re-assign the licence in admin pages. We had this problem for about 200 students. This fixed it.
edie209 Posted November 21, 2014 Author Posted November 21, 2014 I found today that the ADFS server wasn't syncing so I have uninstalled the DirSync tool and installed the newer version and started the sync just before I left tonight so I am hoping that was the issue will be fine on Monday.
