I went to install a program and got a notice that I was low on space. Went to my C: and discovered an unknowen extention taking up 203G, this extention "*.pmb" is not used by any of the programs I have installed. I have scanned using Malwarebytes, Combofix and ESET. Any idea what caused this and how to fix it? I am afraid to just delete it.

Hi OdenReich, first post so hope this helps.

Doing a Google search for .pmb file extension it's not conclusive what it is.

What you can try is create a folder on the C: drive and move the file into it. If you then find a program doesn't work you know what the file is for.

Or if you don't want to delete it, cut it to an external device to store for a while. Yes it may take a while but you still have the file should you need it.

Thanks

I discovered that procmon was running and had bootlog enable. I shut that off and was able to delete the file. Thanks for helping getting this issue fixed!
