I got an xbox because I wanted to play Halo 3, imagine my disappointment when I discovered that you need the hard drive to play with someone (ask ZeroHour!)!

 

I am tempted to get Virtua Fighter 5 so that I can kick ass online. Does anyone know (TinyChip I'm looking at you!) if you need the hard drive for that too?

I think you may require a hard drive because of certain features (including ranking system) but i may not be 100% sure

For all online gaming you will need the Hard drive.. (20gig or 120gig) if you are thinking of going online i would reccommend that you purchase the Premium Console as the Core and arcade systems are really for people who aint going to go online:)

 

 

20 Gig Hard drive = £69.99 and u get 70 MS points thats from GAME

 

120 Gig Hard drive = £129.99 and u get 1300 MS points again from GAME

 

(remember to kick ass online you need are hard drive.... to kick ass local then you don't)

I managed to get myself a h/d that day anyway!

 

I went into Woolworths, and they had the 20gb for £40... Excellent, what a bargin I thought....

 

Got to the till, the woman said "wow, thats expensive", I said "are you kidding, they are normally £70", she said "it IS £70"..

 

much embassement later (woolworths, not mine) and I have the h/d for £40... RESULT!!!!

Cool, Nice one... i never thought of looking in there.. just thought i would get u a price on the normal game shops.. anyway

 

Glad you got one, now you can kick some ass on the online network lol. its very cool.. you will see.
