strawberry Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 hmm, conflicting info on this!. bascially we have 2 suites, 16 machines and 24 machines. We have a 25 user lciense for RRC, is there a way to select which machines are connected soas we can allocate machines?. at present it just adds the first 25 it can find.
maniac Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 You can do this in 2 ways. 1. Define a known list of PCs by going to school-->>modify known list, and drag across only the PC names you want. 2. My prefered method is searching for machines beginning with specific names. Assuming your machines are named by room number, like ours, this works well. Goto School-->>configuration, and tick the box that says 'Browse and connect to students starting with' and enter the relevant value in the box. Then click ok to save changes and re-start the program. Hope that helps, Mike. 1
Grommit Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 I have a problem with the new RRC 9,.1 Set tthe config to quite or ssilent installation Yet when I connect to the PC's in the classroom a fat great whopping RANGER TASKBAR is on top of the pupils screens.. Then the students do a denial of service by constantly using the chat a thousand times.. Is there anyway of getting this off ?

If you open the Control from the teachers machine > View Menu > Current Settings > Student Toolbar just uncheck the box. Z
