YouTube "An error occurred"

Hi guys.

 

Trying to fix this error...

 

I've had it on and off for a while now. But, this has usually been resolved by clearing the users browser history. However, that doesn't seem to be resolving it now.

 

Have been through everything I can think of listed on the google help page. I've read through this page, and haven't found anything to resolve the issue... Tried everything I seen on the net... Nothing appears to work. Read through this thread, and nothing there seems to cure it either...

 

Currently using IE 10 all updated, with latest flash (15.0.0.189), with both the ActiveX and Flash version installed... Also tried playing the HTML v5 version, and that's not done anything, same error. Filtering is just the standard OpenHive Webshield...

 

Any ideas what it could be... Really random as well, since some computers work fine...

 

What seems to happen, is that the adverts work fine, then it goes through a series of trying different resolutions, and then brings up the error?!

Have you tried plugging headphones or speakers in before going to youtube as this seemed to be an issue with youtube before?

 

There is a post on here from before but can't find it at the moment

 

Do you have Impero by any chance?

Try installing IE11 on a PC - you may find that fixes it.

Just put on firefox, I fixed one with this earlier.

This is the problem we have here, either the sound cable unplugged or missing.

I get exactly this problem in Firefox but not Chrome or IE. I fixed it using a low tech solution, I always use Chrome for youtube.

We has a similar issue. Like 'bossman' said it could be related to the sound. We didn't have the proper drivers installed on some computers so when the video tried to play it would give this error.

 

Plug in an audio device, speakers or headphones and retry. Recommend you update your audio driver to the manufacturers driver not the windows hi def one.
