Morning all,

Has anyone been able to make an MSI of makerbot at all? Failing this, does anyone have tried and tested command line input to silently install the thing?

Thanks

I would also really appreciate an MSI or some assistance to install the program silently. Our tech department are really keen to use it and keep chasing me.

Thanks

I did manage to make an MSI however there was some problem with it accessing the program files folder which I believe is my network's problem. Interested to hear how anyone else got on as I found it's insistence on installing the hardware during installation to be the main problem to overcome when making a software package.

Which one are you talking about, the actual Makerbot program or ReplicatorG?

ReplicatorG we just installed onto a network drive, I've not looked at the Markerbot version.

Haven't had a look at Makerbot recently, looking at the website it looks likes it's changed a lot.

If I get chance I'll see if I can play with it.

Sorry to dig up an old thread.

The MDT deployment hangs on a driver installation prompt until we click install or do not install - Has anyone found a way around this?

At the risk of digging up an old thread..

I was faced with this, too.

I ended up compiling an autoit script which:

1. Installs the drivers (which I lifted from a previous install, found in C:\windows\system32\driverstore\FileRepository) using DPInst and a silent xml file.

2. Runs the setup /s, but watches for any spawns of DPINST, DPINST32, DPINST64 and kills them

3. Copies over a secondary launcher script, which changes each user's MakerBot desktop ini file to obey system proxy and not check for updates.

That was for our old Windows 7 setup.

I've got the last version of Makerbot desktop on Windows 10 on my to-do list. Hopefully it's the same process :)
