BassTech Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Our proxy is blocking Google Chrome from auto-updating as it requires authentication. I want to bypass this so Chrome goes directly to Google's update servers. Does anyone know or have the url/address(s) that are used by Chrome to do this? I can then put this in our proxy bypass list which should do the trick.
torgo_uk Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 According to Google; Chrome sends Chrome browser updates for managed Windows computers in the following order: http://cache.pack.google.com/edgedl/chrome/win/ http://www.google.com/dl/chrome/win/ https://dl.google.com/chrome/win/ http://dl.google.com/chrome/win/ http://google.com/dl/chrome/win/ http://tools.google.com/service/update2 Optional:Although caching Chrome for downloading on computers across your organization isn’t officially supported, some admins choose to use the first two http URLs to cache the update files for their organization.
