Good Morning All,

My IT Director has requested that we come up with a solution to monitor the applications used in ICT lessons. Has anyone done this before? Or have a solution to offer?

FYI we are running CC4 if it has any bearing.

Looking forward to hearing what you guys think.

Best, TomHD

We have a very simple vb script that takes input of the program to run, the reference name and any arguments which inserts an entry into a database with the username, time, computer and reference name and then launches the app.

It requires updating all shortcuts to call the vb script, but works for us.

SCCM will do this if you're feeling adventurous. The feature is called Software Metering.

Although I suppose that if you're using CC4, you ain't gonna be using SCCM :)

I'm aware that you can use SCCM on CC networks, I'm just not sure why you would being as most of the functionality of both products would be duplicated.

I was running SCCM 2007 on a CC3 network for about a year but this was with the intention of migrating away from CC.
