Folders/Files Deleting them self on login

When a teacher/student logs into an machine all files and folders are deleted. These are not only deleted from the machine but delete from the server aswell.

 

We think it may be something to do with offline files synchronizing files the wrong way round.

We have even tried to replicate the issue but it seems to be impossible.

We have manually had to recover all data using shadow copy (This is stored on a NAS)

We have been advised that it could be a virus so we are doing a full scan on our file server.

 

Please can anyone advise?

I assume you mean their documents are deleted?

 

Do you use folder redirection for My Documents? If so check to see if the box "move to new location" is unticked

We do use folder redirection and move to new location was ticked, hopefully this should resolve the issue
