I've written a custom report to give the following headings:

Name Year Reg Gender House Achievement Type Achievement Points Achievement Date Comments Achievement/Behaviour Academic Year Activity Recorded By Initials

However it's listing ALL achievements no matter when awarded.

I want to filter the report by just the current academic year.

If I try to edit the report in the "Apply Filter" section and click "New" it brings up a "Define Filter Condition" but the focus is set as STUDENT - how do I change this to something else so I can filter the report by current academic year?

Cheers

There are some good examples of date bound conduct reports on SupportNet.

You can't change the focus, so you either have to start a new report based on the correct focus, like behavour / conduct and do it that way, or use a sub-report.

When you're adding fields from linked areas at the bottom of the list (blue icons) and you click on the blue area heading in the right pane there is a red button to the right, which looks like a book. This allows you to filter the sub-report on that area and it's fields.

Be warned, it can cripple the system if done wrong and can take ages to run if you have a complex one or lots of them. I'd suggest filtering the main report for one test pupil to begin with to see if it works in principle.

I beat you to it :)

I compared a report which had date filtering with mine and saw the above :)
