I was in no way addicted to mine craft , i really enjoyed it though, but since playing it for the last 2 years on and off my index finger, the one i am continually clicking with to mine blocks now feels like it has RSI. Anybody else's finger broken after playing Minecraft for a long time? I've decided to stop playing so my finger does not get even worse.

Haven't played Minecraft in a while.. Did get back into playing FTB but I just get too bored playing single player now, and the EduGeek server is closed. Maybe I'll start my own, they're not exactly costly...

Building ma-hoosive structures can give the ol' middle finger (my M2 finger) a bit of a strain, but I can't say I've ever felt like I had RSI. 30 minutes away from the game sorts it out sharpish - given that M2 is a fairly common button to use in DOTA, too, my fingers seem to have gotten used to it. Plus the buttons on my R.A.T. 7 aren't very stiff, so I don't need to use much pressure.

Mining, however, is just holding down M1, so not really difficult.

I thought Minecraft had a Python API - can't you script it instead of clicking manually?

My fingers are fine, but i have always been a gamer so not noticed anything. Having a decent mouse helps (deathadder here)

I have been playing 7 days to die a lot lately and that is worse for it since you can't click and hold...

Just get a one of the Razer Mice and you can use the Razer Synapse software to macro anything. You should be able to set it to toggle a click on and off or even press and hold down to continue clicking. Used to work great in Wow when i wanted to afk macro Battlegrounds all night :)

The holding down the left button makes my figure go painful too. Luckly i can use my middle finger most the time on my laptops track pad, so its only gaming now that hurts.
