Ofsted Survey of your website

My Head has been sent this mailshot and he actually wants to spend the £175 to have this group write a report that'll basically say "Your website is missing this, this, that, that, this and that. Pay us another £300 and we will make it the best school website Ofsted have ever seen".

 

Has anyone actually gone through with anything like this?

Money spinners and nothing more. Plenty of checklists around (sorry, don't have ours to hand) you can go through yourself and fix anything that needs fixing!

Absolutely not. It gets filed in spam. The way to check is to go to the .gov.uk website and check what you must have by law and to read the Ofsted inspection framework and guidance ... both have changed in the last month. If your head isn't au fait with the Ofsted framework and guidance you have bigger problems than the website! Edited October 8, 2014 by elsiegee40

I'd look at @Marci's suggestion. A decent write up of the requirements.

 

The page includes a word document you can print and work through ticking the correct boxes. Fill it out and ask you head if he will make the cheque payable in your name.
