Help With An Impero Feature Needed

Morning All,

 

Just recorded the screen of one of our users as they were up to something they shouldn't have been; I now need to export this video to pass on to the appropriate members of staff

I can't see any clear export button within the Watch Recording section of the "Screen" tab and I have also logged on to our impero server to check the logs to see if the video gets stored in there but doesn't seem to show the video file (We currently have Impero Version 4.1.11)

 

Any help would be appreciated !

After a more thorough search I have now found where the recordings are stored C:\Program Files (x86)\Impero Solutions Ltd\Impero Server\Recordings

 

But the recordings are stored in .irf file format so now just need to convert them to something more suitable so the video can be distributed to staff

Just to keep this thread updated so if anyone has this problem in the future they know what to do ...

 

.irf format is a format that is used often by CCTV camera software; I found an .irf converter tool however it would not recognise the .irf file from impero

So instead I downloaded a really hand bit of software called SRecorder which I was able to select the area I wanted to record which in this case was the impero playback screen.

Once I had finished the recording I chose the save to computer option, typed in a file name with the extension .mpg (you need to do this or it just saves as a generic file)

I don't have any Impero recordings to try this on however you might want to try IrfanView with your recordings. Might work?

@DaveP - All sorted now cheers; But I just checked to see if that method worked anyway for reference but unfortunately it didn't

Sorry missed this. The file format is own format and will not play in anything other than Impero. However if in support then we have internal tool that can use to convert to more open standard.
