[sims] Agora - differentiate between debit and credit card payments

We have successfully trailed Agora with a small number of parents, however the lack of functionality to incorporate the credit card surcharge if paying for an item by credit card is preventing us from expanding the trial to others.

 

We don’t want our charge to assume that all parents pay by credit card as that would mean some parents were paying more than they needed if paying via debit card eg £16 for a £1000 trip but on the other hand we don’t want to stand that cost ourselves.

 

Has anyone overcome this hurdle in the roll-out of Agora?

 

Want to try and avoid excessive administration work. Also want to avoid listing each item twice, once for if paying with credit card and again if paying via debit card as that relies on the parent to select the correct option, and failure to do so would cause problems.

Is there a way to easily apply a discount at sale time - so incorporate the cc %, but discount it, with a code maybe. It still relies on them a little to apply it.

A lot of schools add a small amount to cover the credit charges. Sometime in 2015 we will enable surcharges.

Don't want to start adding amounts to the trips or events etc to cover costs for a number of reasons.
