RDP and https initial connection slow

Since recently moving from RM's SmartCache2/Safetynet Universal filtering to ECC's upstream proxy server/filtering system I've noticed a few issues cropping up that I'm now starting to think are related. It may be co-incidental that I'm seeing these at the same time of changing over but the most recent change is usually the culprit for new issues.

 

• RDP initial connection takes between 20-30 seconds to connect. Subsequent connections, even to the same server, are instant.
  
• Initial access to https sites takes around the same time. Subsequent connections, even to the same site, are instant
  

 

I'm unsure why this would affect local LAN RDP connections but can't ignore the similar behaviour. I'm thinking this looks certificate related!? Any ideas?

RDP slowness was simply down to the system proxy being set to the old proxy. Removing this has sorted it out however, https access is sill an issue.
