unable to search for emails in both outloo 2007 and 2010

We have just recently install Exchange 2010 running on Windows server 2008 R2, and using both outlook 2007 and 2010 as clients and everything is running fine but just yesterday, some of the users are saying: any time they are trying to search for their old emails in either outlook 2007 or 2010, the outlook search just continue searching with no result. I have never come across the problems before. Any suggestions please??

On the exchange box have a look in services and see if Exchange Search Index is running - could be one of the dependancies may have failed to start Edited September 30, 2014 by mdrabble
