Hey guys,

I'm setting up a Hyper-V Lab environment. I would like to setup a Windows Server 2012 R2 domain controller, Exchange 2013 (HUB/Mailbox) server roles, file server and few clients.

I would like to register a domain name as well so I can test few thing live before I can implement on our production environment.

I don’t want my lab network to talk to our school network, I am thinking to use pfsense

Can anyone share experiences setting up their own?

Many thanks

Sam

ive used smoothwall express for a similar type of setup, I found smoothwall's interface is easier to get to gripes with over pfsense, but pfsense is the more powerful product.

can you use a different subnet / address range? or set it up on a physically separate switch/wifi.

I have been wanting to setup a lab environment for testing, we want to move to sccm and I also want to play with hydration scripts, but dont want todo that in a live environment.
