IPAD and MAcserver and device enroll

I have been trail a few of our managed ipads on ios8.0 and hit a problem when I come to enrol them onto our mac server

 

when I try and goto http://hhsmacserver.***.***.***/mydevices I get the following error

 

there was a problem communicating with the secure web proxy server (https)

 

Did not have this problem with ios7.** is there something I need to do on ios8 or server to fix this problem or is it a known issue.

 

**UPDATE**

I just install chrome on ipad to see what problem was and see if it was a safari issue but it looks like cert problem as chrome saying certificate is Malformed Certificate

ANy help please this is a self signed ssl cert
