sippo Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 We have a device which has picked up an IP address. Is there a way of find out which port it is plugged into on our HP Procurve? I could physically go over there but we have quite a few switches in that cabinet.
abillybob Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Do what I do. Trail the cable back to the cabinet. :/
Davit2005 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Alternatively if you have managed switches with CLI interface (i.e. HP's) you could do some thing like a show mac-address ******-****** to trace it back to the port 1
