joe90bass Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 We're about to deploy iPads to all our year 7 pupils (joy!). All iPads are supervised using configurator and Meraki and have individual Apple IDs. I've been told it's possible to prevent removal of the Apple ID from the iPad, but I can't find out how to do this - is it possible!?
SovietRussia Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 (edited) You can do this on the device or via Meraki: DEVICES MUST BE SUPERVISED! (It requires iOS 7 to do it via Meraki) Device Go to Settings -> Restrictions -> Enable Scroll down to the bottom where it says Account, click Do not change. This then locks the Account Page and your Apple ID cannot be removed. Meraki Open up your Device restriction settings Scroll down on the first tab (Restrictions) UNTICK the "Allow modifying account settings (iOS 7)" (For the Meraki approach, you must ensure your PROFILE has a password on it - or students could remove the profile and all these settings would magically become obsolete) Edited September 16, 2014 by SovietRussia 1
joe90bass Posted September 16, 2014 Author Posted September 16, 2014 Thank you! It was there in front of me all the time! While I'm at it I'll remove the erotica settings as well, no reading 50 shades for our kids!
